DR AUSTIN AIPOH EMERGES AS THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (HCPAN)
The 18th National Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference 2022 was held in NECA House in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State on the 13th December 2022 with a theme ” Domestication of NHIA ACT 2022 and Anticipated Challenges”.
The Chairman of the occasion, Prof Mohammed Nasir Sambo, Director General and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) warmly welcomed all to the conference. He explained the opportunity in the new NHIA act 2022 and encouraged all stakeholders to contribute their part towards making health insurance successful.
The welcome address of Dr Emma Onyenuche, the Chairman of the Local Organization Committee gave the assurance that the expectations of the participants will be met.
Dr Adeyeye Arigbabuwo, the immediate past National President of HCPAN, who handed over to Dr Austin Aipoh at the event, took the audience round the achievements of his leadership in the period under review at the AGM.
The keynote speaker Dr Leke Oshunniyi presented a paper on Domestication of NHIA ACT 2022 and Anticipated Challenges.
Barr. Olaniran Osotuyi presented a paper on “Inter-Professional Industrial Harmony Amongst Healthcare Providers: The Prong for Progressive and Sustainable Healthcare Delivery”
The Commissioner of Health, Prof Akin Abayomi was ably represented by Prof. Adebowale O. Adekoya.
Awards were given to the deserving individuals for their contributions to the healthcare services in Nigeria. Among the awardees was the Njide Ndili Country Director, PharmAccess Foundation.
The election was conducted and the following people were announced as the next National Executive Council Members of HCPAN Nigeria.
