DR GODSWILL IBOMA BOWS OUT OF SERVICE WITH PRAISES TO GOD.
The atmosphere at the staff clinic of the Alausa Secretariat was charged and glowing on Wednesday 19th July 2023. This was as a result of the celebration of the retirement and birthday of Dr Godswill A. Iboma.
The occasion was chaired by the Executive Secretary of the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), Dr Abiola Idowu.
The permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Dr Olusegun Ogboye was represented by Dr (Mrs). Olufunmilayo Shokunbi, the Director of Medical Administration and Training in the Ministry of Health.
The celebrant’s triumphal entry into the hall was with music, dance and excitement from the well wishes.
The testimonial of Dr Iboma was full of stories of a nice, gentle, diligent, God fearing and amiable professional who put in all for the development of the healthcare service in Lagos State.
His wife, the colleagues and many members of various Associations commended and appreciated him.
Dr Godswill Ajomuwoma Iboma was born on the 19th of July 1963 at Wasimi Village, Mile 12, Ikorodu Road Ajelogo Area of Lagos State.
He obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Lagos.
He was employed by the Lagos State Civil Service Commission on the 31st May, 2001 as a Medical Officer and his appointment was confirmed on 19th June, 2003.
On the 28th June, 2001, he was deployed to the Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS) Unit of the Directorate of Hospital Services of the Ministry of Health.
He bagged Masters of Science in Medical Parasitology on the 24th, June, 2004.
He was promoted to the post of Senior Medical Officer II on the 1st July, 2004 and Senior Medical Officer I, on the 1st, July 2007 respectively.
Dr Iboma, rose to the post of the Principal Medical Officer on the 1st November, 2010. He advanced forward by his promotion to the post of Principal Medical Officer I on the 1st October, 2014.
He was deployed to the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) on the 18th, April, 2016
On the 18th July, 2018, he got to the peak of his career by his promotion to the post of Chief Medical Officer.
He is a Pastor, married and blessed with children.
