FIRST BANK PLC PARTNERS WITH GMLD ON EQUIPMENT ACQUISITION
The need for the Guild of Medical Laboratory Directors (GMLD) to ease the financial burden of its members was given a boost on the 8th February 2023 at the Lagos office of the National President, Prince (Dr) Elochuckwu Adibo.
The partnership (product) paper between the First Bank Plc and GMLD which was driven by the Lagos GMLD was delivered to the National President.
This paper signaled the take off of the opportunity for the GMLD members nation-wide to access equipment acquisition loans in any First Bank branch without stress or collateral.
A loan that is up to twenty million naira can now be accessed. Part of the requirements to access the loans includes but not limited to the following:
Must be a member of GMLD Nigeria.
Must have a license of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
Must register with the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) for Lagos only.
The Chairman of GMLD Lagos Branch, Adekoya Abimbola Julius, welcomed the First Bank team and told the National President all the processes that eventually culminated into the success of the day. He therefore thanked the President for his support to the Lagos Branch and the First Bank team for their willingness to support the association.
In his speech, Mr Abiodun Famuyiwa, the Head of SME banking and Money transfer was delighted that First Bank is supporting the association members in many ways. He promised a hitch free process in accessing the products.
The National President in his response told everyone present that GMLD will not take this opportunity for granted. He promised that the National body will meet to prepare a way for the members to access it. He equally encouraged the bank to open up a system where loans can be accessed at the comfort of the offices of the members.
The presentation was witnessed by the National Vice President, Mr Olumuyiwa Onaneye, Akujuobi Igwe, the former Secretary General of the GMLD Lagos, Mrs Nebo Chinwe, Mr Ubi Chris, Mrs Ojo Adedayo. The First Bank team included Mrs Efe Akinwoye and Mrs Oluwakemi Esan.
The Executive Members of GMLD Lagos also used the opportunity to thank their Patron, Dr Oyinwola Azeez Oni for initiating the first interactive session with the First Bank Plc.
