HEFAMAA FRANCHISE: THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ORDER
The stakeholders meeting organized by the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) of the Lagos State Ministry of Health at Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on the 14th December 2022 was a signal that the Ministry is finally kicking off the long awaited HEFAMAA Franchise.
The gathering was an interactive forum between the Heads of the Associations and the franchise companies.
The Executive Secretary of HEFAMAA, Dr Abiola Idowu told the participants that the agency is not ceding her power to the franchisee but bringing them on board to expand their coverage.
She warned the franchise companies to conduct themselves in a professional manner knowing their roles as the mirror image of the agency.
Dr Idowu did not fail to remind the companies that she will not hesitate to revoke the contract of any company that defaults.
She reassured the heads of the Associations that there is no cause for alarm as many structures are in place to control the activities of the companies.
The companies that introduced themselves to the stakeholders were
1 Alpha Oasis International (AOI)
2. e’clat Healthcare Limited
3. Mcolivia Consulting Limited(MCO)
4. SPC patterns Consulting
5. International Facilities Services (IFS) Healthcare
6. Realm Healthcare Services Consulting.
The questions and answers session was very instructive and enlightening.
Present at the occasion were Dr Daniel Olayinka, Dr Godswill Iboma and Mr Hamza Abiodun of the HEFAMAA board.
The representatives of the following associations were fully on ground, Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria Lagos Branch, Guild of Medical Laboratory Directors (GMLD) Lagos, Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN) Lagos, Association of General Private Nursing Practitioners (AGPNP) Lagos, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Health Providers Association of Nigeria (HCPAN) Lagos State, Association of Private Dental Practitioners in Nigeria (APDPN). Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners (ANPMP).
The training for the franchisee continued immediately after the interactive session.
